Bollywood veteran Salim Khan, father of superstar Salman Khan, encountered a chilling threat during his morning walk in Bandra. A burqa-clad woman and an unidentified man approached him on a scooter, invoking the name of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. “Should I call Lawrence Bishnoi?” the woman allegedly asked as she and her accomplice made their way past him.
In light of the incident, the Mumbai Police quickly initiated a probe. Surveillance footage is being analyzed to identify the suspects, who were reportedly acting out of mischief. Police sources confirmed that the duo had no prior criminal history and have since been detained.
This alarming incident comes amid a series of threats targeting the Khan family. Earlier this year, Maharashtra Police thwarted a planned attack on Salman Khan, arresting four alleged shooters connected to Bishnoi's gang. In April, shots were fired outside the Khan residence, heightening security concerns for the family. Salman has since been provided with enhanced protection, including Y-plus security detail.
Salim Khan has formally lodged a complaint, emphasizing the serious nature of the threat. Meanwhile, his son Salman and brother Arbaaz Khan have publicly condemned claims that the family is seeking publicity over these incidents. Arbaaz labeled such assertions as false, highlighting the real danger the family faces.
